Here’s a bunch of common questions, all lined up nice and neat for you.
What do you play?
- Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis and Sega CD, TurboGrafx 16/CD, Playstation (1-3), X-Box (and 360), Dreamcast, Gameboy series (including DS), PSP, and PC games.
- Really, we play just about anything, so long as we’re interested in playing it.
What PSP emulator do you use?
- We don’t use an emulator for PSP games. We use a real PSP hooked up to computer via USB and using a tool called RemoteJoyLite.
What do you use for streaming your consoles and emulators?
- For PC-based emulators, we use VH Screen Capture Driver with Adobe Flash Media Encoder.
- For console stuff, we use actual video capture devices– ForteMP3 uses an Adaptec GameBridge, and Firehawke uses the native video input port on his video card. We run those respective inputs through Adobe Flash Media Encoder.
- For PSP, we use RemoteJoyLite with custom firmware on a real PSP.

What is your chat moderation policy/behavioral policy?
- Spam is zero tolerance. Spam and expect minimal warning before getting a ban.
- Treat us decently and we’ll treat you decently in return. In other words, don’t be an ass and we won’t be an ass to you either.
- Demanding we play game X is more likely to make us NOT want to play game X.
So, who are these Sanctuary members, anyway?
- Firehawke, ForteMP3, Lanvient, Sniff, Theogrin, and Tristan are the current members, but there have been many other people over the last fifteen years who have come and gone with no ill will — they are always welcome to come back any time.
About those “Not Broadcasting” videos..?
- Created by Firehawke. They’re not simple picture edits, but instead full romhacks for a completely authentic look and feel. Audio is NOT included so that the size can be kept down and so that the site can be left in a background tab when no broadcasts are running.
